Olive growers and processors registered in the Oli de Mallorca Designation of Origin met on Saturday 23rd November in Algaida. This annual meeting organised by the Regulatory Council was attended by the executive councillor for Economic Promotion and Local Development of the Consell de Mallorca, Maria del Pilar Amate; the director general of Agriculture of the Government of the Balearic Islands, Fernando Fernández; the director general of Food Quality and Local Product, Joan Llabrés and the island director of Economic Promotion, Álvaro Roca.
At the meeting, attendees were able to learn about the training offer related to olive growing at the UIB from Dr. Josefina Bota (Professor of Plant Production at the UIB) and Miquel A. Mas (Professor of Olive Growing and Eleotechnics), as well as the preliminary results of the study for the control of rooster’s eye in Mallorca being developed by the Regional Ministry of Agriculture, by Dr. Jaume Jaume (Director of Agricultural Production Development at IRFAP).
Finally, the Regulatory Council of the PDO ‘Oli de Mallorca’ presented diplomas of gratitude to the brands that in the year 2024 have obtained awards in competitions that distinguish the quality of Extra Virgin Olive Oils at a national and international level. Finca Sa Cadernera has been recognised for its awards:

- Silver Medal at the Mezquita de Córdoba Awards
